About

A family-owned 3D printing business built on creativity, connection, and a whole lot of heart

Meet the Founders

Behind every 3D print is the husband and wife duo, dedicated to bringing your ideas to life.

Justin

I started my career as an F-18 mechanic in the United States Marine Corps right out of high school. After completing my five-year contract, I chose to leave the military and explored various jobs before finding my current calling: being a stay-at-home dad to our daughters, V and L. Taking care of them each day is the most important job I’ve ever had.

3D printing captured my attention because it gave me the ability to design something in my mind and then physically create it. That process—going from idea to tangible object—never gets old. I handle all the design and printing for V & L Prints, and what I’ve gotten really good at through this journey is problem-solving. When a print fails or a design doesn’t work quite right, I see it as a puzzle to solve, not a setback.

My favorite part of the entire process is the design phase. There’s something incredibly satisfying about figuring out how to bring someone’s vision to life or engineering a solution to a problem they didn’t even know could be solved. Honestly, my interest in the concept of 3D printing itself has grown into a genuine passion for doing it—and I get to do it every day.

Amberly

Before V & L Prints, I spent 10 wonderful years as a stay-at-home mom, volunteering extensively in our community. When I re-entered the workforce, I worked in event planning for pharmaceutical companies, which taught me how to manage details, coordinate projects, and connect with people. Today, I’m also a licensed nail technician in Utah and a student studying digital marketing and analytics—skills that directly fuel what I do for our business.

I’ll be honest: I don’t design or print. That’s Justin’s world. But when I saw the pure joy he had creating things with our first printer, I knew I wanted to be part of this journey. My role is everything that happens around the prints—managing our website, social media, marketing, customer service, and packaging. I love showing off the projects we’ve made and networking with others to spread the word about what we do.

What I love most about V & L Prints isn’t just the business itself—it’s that we’re building it together. I’ve always dreamed of running a business with Justin, and seeing that dream become reality means everything to me. We’re partners in life and in work, and that makes every challenge worth tackling.

3D Printing Together

Starting V & L Prints was Justin’s idea, but turning it into a business they run together just made sense. They’re partners with different strengths—Justin brings the technical creativity and precision, while Amberly handles the marketing, customer relationships, and business operations.

Their vision for V & L Prints is to grow from their single printer to a printing farm with 6-8 printers, expanding their product line while building a loyal customer base that trusts them with creative projects. One of their favorite memories from the early days? Watching their daughters’ eyes light up when they see a finished print. That excitement reminds them why they’re doing this—and who they’re doing it for.

What V & L Means

The name V & L Prints comes straight from our hearts. V and L are the first letters of our daughters’ names. They’re at the center of everything we do, so putting them in our business name just made sense.
Having their initials in our business name reminds us every single day why we’re doing this. We want to make them proud—not just by building a successful business, but by showing them that when you mix creativity with hard work and kindness, you can turn ideas into something real.

Even though they’re still kids, our daughters already help out in small but important ways. They organize containers, put stickers on packages, and sometimes spark new ideas for prints. V & L Prints isn’t just a company name on a sign. It’s a reflection of the love and teamwork that keeps this whole thing going.

The “V”

Our social butterfly, who loves the color pink, dinosaurs and laughing.

The “L”

Our youngest, who loves the color blue, is shy at first but has the biggest heart.

Why Being Family-Run Matters

Being a family-owned 3D printing business in Utah County isn’t just about who owns the company. It’s about how we approach everything we do. We believe that how we treat people is just as important as the quality of what we make.

What Makes Us Different

We don’t just make what you ask for and call it a day. We think alongside you. Our customers come to us with all kinds of ideas—from functional parts to artistic designs—and we take pride in helping them explore possibilities they might not have even thought of yet.

You don’t need to be an engineer or professional designer to work with us. We guide you through the whole process step by step, explaining design options, materials, and print techniques so you can make informed choices without feeling overwhelmed.

We also get that creativity doesn’t always follow a strict schedule. Sometimes ideas change and evolve during the design phase. That’s perfectly fine—we’re here to adapt and make it work. That’s the freedom of being a local, family-run service.
