The insert is the base of our hitch cover system. Slide it into your hitch receiver, lock it in with the printed pin, and snap on any V&L hitch cover.

Great for:

  • Adding a second vehicle so both can wear your covers
  • Replacing a lost or worn insert or pin

Which size do I need?

  • 2 inch: fits standard 2-inch hitch receivers, the size found on most cars, SUVs, and half-ton trucks. The insert measures about 1.96 x 1.96 inches and 4.9 inches long.
  • 2.5 inch: fits 2.5-inch hitch receivers, usually found on heavy-duty trucks (3/4-ton and up). The insert measures about 2.46 x 2.46 inches and 4.8 inches long.

Please note: This is for decorative covers only. The printed pin is only for holding the insert in place and is not rated for towing. Remove before towing or going through an automatic car wash, since car wash brushes can catch on it and cause damage. Hand washing is fine.
